May Day! May Day!

May 1st Should Not Look Like This

I am so sick of winter.

Sad Daffodil in Snow, May 1, 2013

The three snow storms we had in April killed many of my spring bulbs before they bloomed.

Now this.

May 1st, 2013, Robin in Snow

I want to move.  I don’t care how mild the temperature was in January; I need spring.

How beautiful is it where you live?  Maybe I’ll move there.

  1. OMG! I feel your pain…I’m from Michigan and have spent the last few years moving around the Midwest…we just (2 months ago) made our first move south…Atlanta! I’m sitting here with my windows wide open and loving the warm breeze coming in! When you’ve spent a lifetime in that snow, you REALLY appreciate not being in it anymore. Come to Atlanta!

    • This is the latest it has ever snowed in the ten years I’ve lived here. It’s ridiculous! Two days ago, I slept with the windows open. It makes today worse.

  2. Oh no, this is terrible! Snow must leave, green grass and daffodils must thrive. Having lived 26 years in a sub-tropical climate, I now love living in London with its 4 seasons. Having said that, even I would draw the line at snow in May.
Shove off, Winter, it’s Spring’s turn now! Whoosh whoosh, off you go! (I hope that helped)

  3. Awe- but I know what you mean Ginger. I hate it when the snow kills the spring flowers. It has been hot here the past two days in the 80s and turning to the 60s for the rest of the week. I am in Illinois.

Be extra nice and share!
